The Clinical Research Associate Program at Oxford College is a quality program offering nine months of in-class teaching followed by a three month placement in a clinical research setting such as a hospital or research facility.  We strongly believe that students taking live, contact courses in a classroom environment will get a better education, develop better skills and be better prepared for a professional career.  By being in class, students have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with our experienced faculty as well as with fellow students; they can also take advantage of our campus resources, including our computer lab and library.

The program is broken down into a series of modules, each of which will last between four and eight weeks.  The modules focus on particular subject groupings, starting with the medical and scientific bases for investigation and moving to an introduction to clinical research.  Other modules develop the core subjects of ethics and good clinical practice, design and management of clinical trials and other topics associated with becoming a clinical research professional.  Many of the courses come with text books, documents and references, while others will also have online resources.
